The numbers and types of jobs held by graduates in forestry and natural resources are simply too great to thoroughly capture here, though we have given you a fair sampling on the discipline pages. Many graduates follow traditional paths as foresters, park rangers, conservation biologists, scientists and technicians, and managers working for private industry, government agencies, consulting firms or schools/universities.

Ag Ed as a Career Supply and Demand for Ag Teachers 2006-2007

This 15 year summary shows the yearly demand for agriculture teachers(vacancies) and the supply of agricultural education degree graduates. 50 openings were reported last year with 36 graduates from the four Illinois universities. 8 of the fills were with provisional teachers. 5 of the fills came from out of state graduates.
