A sound budget includes line items that provide taxpayers with a return on investment. For more than 20 years, agricultural education has been a very successful line item in the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) budget. With the same dollar level as FY10, $3.043 million, Illinois agricultural education will continue to meet growing rural and urban program needs. Non-duplicated student numbers continued strong in 2009 at 29,048; 35 percent were female, 90 percent were non-farm. more... |
