1. State Agronomy, Dairy Foods, and Meats Registration

Date: Saturday, December 8, 2018

Registration is required by November 24, 2018 for Dairy Foods. Agronomy and Meats will follow the early bird policy and pricing structure.

Non-member $48/student $80/student

Agronomy, Dairy Foods, and Meats Location: Stock Pavilion (1402 W Pennsylvania Ave; Urbana, IL 61801)

Event Registration: 8:30- 9:30 am

Contest Start: 10 am

For the Agronomy, Dairy Foods, and Meats CDEs at the University of Illinois, all meters and lots are free on the weekend except for those marked "24 hours, 7 days a week".

2. State Ag Sales Results Due

Ag Sales Location: Parkland College (2400 W Bradley Ave, Champaign, IL 61821)

Ag Sales teams must have placed in the top 3 teams in their district to participate at state. A signup for presentation times will be sent to those schools submitted by District IAVAT Directors as qualifying teams from district events.

A tentative schedule of Ag Sales presentations will be released by December 1. Teams that have not signed up for presentation times by this date will be placed into remaining presentation slots.


3. IAVAT Membership Reminder

4. Florida FFA Hurricane Relief

Please see note below from Ronnie Simmons, Florida FFA Executive Secretary:

In the wake of Hurricane Michael, our thoughts and prayers continue for those who were affected by this storm and we are committed to helping our friends and communities in need.  In true FFA fashion, we have received emails and phone calls from many who are ready and willing to help.  In addition to delivering supplies by ground, Florida FFA is partnering with Operation Airdrop to deliver supplies by airplane into some of the hardest hit areas.

Here are a few ways that you can help:
