FFA Rosters

Illinois FFA Dues or Affiliation Fees Information

With the 2018-2019 membership year, the start/end date has shifted.  It will now run from August 1 through July 31 of each year.  You may complete your FFA roster on at any time now for this year.  There have been a few changes made to the roster area on the National website.  The most notable being that you, as the advisor, are able to make some changes to students’ personal information again.  You are able to correct the spelling, add an e-mail address, etc.  In addition, they have improved the “help” features of the website.  If you see a question mark (?) in the upper right corner of a screen, click on it to take you to the help features.  You will get multiple options (print or video) to choose from to be able to assist you with any step of the roster process.

Once again, you have the option to be a traditional dues paying chapter, with the annual dues being $14.00 per member ($7.00 for National FFA dues plus $7.00 for the Illinois FFA dues) or you may choose the affiliation option.  You may find the affiliation fee schedule on the Illinois FFA website under the Teacher then General Downloads tabs or by clicking on the above link.  There is also an additional annual $10 district dues per chapter to be paid with the FFA membership dues.

If you would like to become an affiliated chapter this year, please be sure to complete the affiliation request on the National website ( by October 15th.  To make that request, follow these steps:

  • Log in to
  • Go to your chapter profile
  • Click on Chapter/Program Data – located on the left side
  • Click on Dues/Fees – located across from the Chapter/Program Data button.
  • Click on the blue words – “Affiliation Request”
  • Follow the screens, reading the agreement and submitting your approval of it.

An affiliated chapter is one in which all of the students enrolled in an Ag Ed class are members of the FFA.  Once you have chosen the affiliation option for the chapter, it cannot go back to being a traditional dues paying chapter, it must remain an affiliated chapter.

In order to be a chapter in good standing, you must do the following:

  1. Complete your roster and submit it to state
  2. Complete the correct Membership Form, either for dues or affiliation
  3. Mail the completed membership form with a check to the Illinois FFA Center by November 1 (postmark date).

If you choose to use AET to complete your roster, once the students have completed their profile information on AET so that it is 100%, you can transfer the students to the National FFA website.  Please remember that you will then need to go in to the National FFA website and submit the students to the state level.  It will migrate all of your students to the local level on  If you are a dues chapter, you will need to choose just those students who are FFA members to approve to the state level.  If you are an affiliated chapter, you will be able to use the select all feature and submit all of the members to the state level.

The membership forms may be obtained by clicking on the following link:  Membership Forms.  This will take you to the Illinois FFA website, Teachers, Forms.  Please be sure to complete the correct Membership Form, either for dues or the affiliation fee.

REMINDER:  The roster must be completed and submitted to the state level, the membership form received (don’t forget to obtain the signatures on the form) and the dues/fee check received by a postmark date of November 1 in order to receive credit on the Incentive Funding Grant.

If you have any questions about the FFA roster, please contact Tammy at the FFA Center ( or 217-753-3328 ext. 106.
